Today I spent the day touring San Antonio with my roomies, Kathy Seals and Becky Evans. We started the day with the guided river barge tour which follows the River Walk along the San Antonio River. Next we watched the IMAX Alamo film and then crossed the street to visit the Alamo.  (It’s kind of a funny juxtaposition to have the Alamo across the street from the shopping mall!) We then walked down to Market Square and did a bit of shopping, and walked back to the hotel along River Walk.  We had a yummy steak dinner at Saltgrass, I got a caramel apple from a local candy shop where I could see them making the caramel, and then we stopped for ice cream before walking back to the hotel.

Phew! What a day! It was exhausting but fun, and I’m so glad I had the opportunity to explore the town a bit more before heading home.

Leadership Convention ended with a bang today! I’m too tired to post much tonight, but I promise to give full updates!

In the meantime, here’s today’s Sale-a-bration sample. It’s hard to tell from the picture, but the color is Bravo Burgundy.  It uses the exclusive Fresh Vintage stamp set that will be available ONLY during Sale-a-bration! This card is one of the many beautiful swaps I got from fellow demonstrators this week!

This is another shoebox swap card. It’s a 3 inch x 6 inch card that uses two Sale-a-bration sets called Outlined Occasions and Sprinkled Expressions, the Everyday Elegance Ribbon and Lucky Limeade and Calypso Coral.

Today was the first official day of Leadership Convention here in San Antonio, and boy was it great!  So much great information, time with friends, free stuff… and a gorgeous, sunny day to boot! We learned that there will be great changes made to our catalogs and the demonstrator magazine called Stampin’ Success. We’re also getting a diagonal scoring tool that pairs with the Simply Scored to help us create beautiful handmade envelopes and different, exciting cards with cool folds!

I mentioned in yesterday’s post that I participated in a a shoebox swap last night.  Here’s one of the cards that we made. The colors didn’t come out that great in the picture, but it’s Concord Crush and Wisteria Wonder.

We went and did make & takes tonight, so I’ll be posting pictures of those once I get home and can get them all put together.  One thing I can guarantee: YOU’RE GONNA WANT IT ALL!

Our first day in San Antonio was fun! We arrived at the hotel around 1:30, settled in a bit and then went for lunch at a great restaurant called Casa Rio along the river. Afterward, we walked back through the River Center shopping center and back to the hotel to finish up our swaps for the shoebox swap we participated in Tuesday night.  Today’s Sale-a-bration sample is the card I designed for the shoebox swap.
